Blessings

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. Being thankful for ones blessings and the gifts in our lives elevates our spirits. None of us escapes life's struggles, but expressing gratitude for what we have has a way of transmuting problems.

It's been said that what we think about and focus on expands. My experience is that it's true. And as I write this, Dear Readers, I think of how enriched I've been this year by your presence. May you all find peace and joy on this very special and exquisite day.

My warm regards, ~ Anitra

PS: I will return on December 20th with my next post :)

  1. Happy Thanksgiving Aneet-

Well this year in a way will be a very solemn and reflective Thanksgiving. This has been a year of tremendous challenge, but I'm thankful that I've started my trek back in the right direction.

I'm immensely thankful that I found this blog and that I've been able to communicate with you and appreciate the diverse avenues of your career. Of course it goes without saying how thrilled I've been to share with you my enthusiam and appreciation for your work on TPIR and hearing your fascinating "behind the scenes" point of view.

Also Aneet, I would like to thank you for your encouragment regarding my writing. It's always been an interest of mine, even though it's been on the proverbial back burner of "a new microwave range" (sorry, bad TPIR pun there), you've helped me rekindle my enthusiasm for it.

So I want to wish you a happy and bountiful Thanksgiving to you and your family. By the way, that's a beautiful picture of you and Erin on the sidebar. I hope your day is a blessed one full of good food and family.

    Regards and best wishes,

    Joseph

  2. Hello Joseph,

Thank you Joseph for your kind words. You are a very generous person and have contributed much to this blog in so many ways. From videos, to websites and suggestions, you've given me many ideas that I have applied here, and I'm thankful for that.

I'm pleased that your life has take a new turn. You've been persistant and worked hard, and you deserve a great deal of credit. I'm delighted to hear that your intrest in writing has been rekindled. Writing is an amazing and healing art. When a person writes, he creates and gives, but he also, at the same time, receives. It's a fascinating process.

Your reference to the microwave made me laugh.

Wishing you a beautiful Thanksgiving Joseph. My regards, ~ Anitra

  5. Happy Thanksgiving, Aneet!!
You and your blog are two of the many reasons I'm thankful this year. It's comforting indeed to know that there's someone out there who can appreciate nature's beauty, in the midst of so much chaos and uncertainty.

I hope you have a wonderful holiday, Luv; I shall be engaging in my annual tyramine overdose shortly, but wanted to touch base before Tom Turkey and I go mano-y-mano. 8^)

  8. Anitra, "Come On Down" to a Great Thanksgiving Day!

Wow, that's a terrific photo of you and Erin! A photo like that is truly a classic. Really cute how you both are wearing matching pink coats.

Today started out quite early for me. New York is a crisp 48 degrees and I'm out getting things together and ready for what will be a nice, relaxing and enjoyable Thanksgiving dinner for family and a few friends due to stop by. Just got a huge pecan pie from a local Cider Mill that will surely be a big hit at 5:00 when we all sit down to enjoy.

On this day I can say that I'm thankful for family, many best friends, relatively good health (when I'm not getting attacked by those kidney stones) and of course getting to know you.

As I'm writing this to you Aneet, there's an Odd Couple marathon on TV. I'm looking forward to the episode with you entitled "Felix Is Missing".

Anitra, I wish you the happiest and healthiest of Thanksgivings and my wishes extend as well to Erin and everyone else in your family.

    My best regards,

    Jonathan

  9. Hello Anitra,

Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving! :) I am thankful for all of the blessings in my life, my family and friends and everyone else in my life; also for being able to share my thoughts with you. Although I don't know much about you I feel like we share many of the same interests and I can talk to you like a friend. Your photos give me a sense of peace and tranquility, the majestic bird soaring high above the clouds with out a care in the world such a beautiful thought. The picture of your daughter and you is so adorable! The matching soft pink trench coats are just so cute. I wish you and your family a wonderful Thanksgiving Anitra!

  10. Hi Aneet:

Your sidebar photo with Erin is adorable!

Hoping you and Erin are enjoying Thanksgiving weekend shopping. While attending pre-dawn sales at the mall, I witnessed ugly incidents involving customers and store personnel. The most wonderful time of the year? Maybe not - LOL!

Enjoy the weekend, and safe travels.

So good to hear from you! Sorry about your shopping experience. I've been trying to avoid the crowds, even if it means missing out on some of the sales.

  15. Hello Aneet,

Wishing you and your daughter, as well as your other family and friends, a very Happy Thanksgiving weekend!

Looking forward to seeing more of your beautiful holiday photos from the Santa Barbara area. I remember those incredibly colorful pictures from last December.

PS: loved the vintage photo of you and your daughter! did she follow in your footsteps for modeling and/or acting?

    My best wishes,
    Tom

  16. Tom hello,

As always, it's lovely to hear from you. I return your good wishes for a fulfilling weekend as well as a happy Holiday season. It's interesting that you mention my photos of last December. Being my first December as a blogger, it was an inspired time. Everywhere I looked, I saw things to share here.

This year is different, to some degree, as I don't have the abundance of time that I had last year. But I must say, that my thoughts keep going back to that scene of lights on Quinientos Street. I plan to make two posts in Dec., and as of yet, I have no idea what they'll be :)

Glad you liked the vintage photo. And no, other than a few modeling jobs when she was a child, Erin did not become a performer or model, though I must say she is quite artistic.

Once again Tom, thanks for your thoughtful message. My warm regards to you and your wife.

    Sincerely, ~ Anitra

  17. Hi Aneet!!

Love Santa Barbara!! Hadn't been there in about 12 years, so a friend and I thought we'd take a day and drive up. It was beautiful!!

Stopped in Fillmore on the way and then made our way. We drove around and enjoyed the scenery, walked on the beach and just had a nice relaxing day. Visited the Starbucks on Coast Village Drive on the way back to the 101, which is said to be the best one in Santa Barbara!!

Great day, until we got back to Santa Clarita and a guy in a pick up truck decided to turn right before I was out of the intersection and slammed into the side of my rental car!! Thank goodness they determined that it was entirely his fault!!

    Best to you, as always!!
    Mark :-)

  18. Mark,

So glad to hear that you enjoyed yourself in our fair town. There's nothing better than a walk on the beach. Thanks so much for sharing your reflections. I really appreciate it.

Gosh! That accident sounds hair-raising. What a nasty way to end a lovely trip. I hope you're okay. At least you weren't held responsible.

Lovely to hear from you, Mark.

Sending health and good wishes your way, ~ Aneet

  19. Hi Anitra,

Beautiful photos! T'm glad I wandered into your lovely and serene blog.

I remember you from when I watched alot of TPIR when I was a young teen laid up with a broken leg, out of school for a few months. I thought you were the best game show model, and you definitely had the coolest name.

Peace and blessings to you, and thanks for the opportunity to say hi.

    All the best,

    Al

  21. Hi again Anitra!
Although we've never met face to face, you have inspired me to explore my creative interests. You have evolved from model, to actress, to an artist and writer. To have explored and experienced so many areas must be very fulfilling. Thank you for sharing the photograph of you and your daughter. It gives readers a little glimpse to another side of yourself. I'll be looking for your next post in December.
    Sincerely Yours,
    Tim
