Summer A

Let Me Play

Let me live in joy and wonder.
Allow me to let go of constraints
and mental constructs of how things ought to be.
Let me release my automatic knee-jerk reactions
and open to a world of infinite possibility.
Let me find that thread of agelessness
and timelessness that resides in all of us.
Let me savor, let me celebrate
this gift of days.

***Hello beautiful people. Once again, I have made two posts. Please check out Summer B

  2. Hello again Aneet!

I'm posting out of order, as I just posted in "Summer B".

When I saw this photo, I immediately thought of all the showcases on TPIR when you got a chance to get into costumes and display your humorous side, especially with the "Flaky Flicks". Thank you again for sharing your whimsical and humorous side with us.

As usual, if I run across any interesting TPIR episodes on youtube, I will send them your way, as I enjoy your behind the scenes perspective. Once again, I hope you have a wonderful rest of your summer, and see you in September!

    Best wishes and warm regards,

    Joseph

enjoyed you tonight on ME TV Channel in a Columbo Movie:
    Columbo: Murder By the Book
    with Jack Cassidy.

What was it like to have the unknown Steven Spielberg directing you.

I also liked you in the Columbo Movie: Forgotten Lady///with Janet Leigh....

Like Roger Ebert..Invasion of the Bee Girls is a "Guilty Pleasure" film...of mine.

    1. Hello Eddie,

So nice to hear from you -- welcome! I enjoyed your comments. Yes, I heard the Columbo episode aired recently. It was great working with Spielberg. Not famous to the public yet, but highly touted at Universal as a prodigy and a genius. The young man was impressive. He was easy/breezy to work with and very kind.

I don't believe that I was in the Janet Leigh movie. And, I did not know that Roger Ebert ever spoke of Bee Girls. Wow, that is very interesting.

So glad you joined us here. Sending you my good wishes. Sincerely,

      ~ Anitra

  6. Hi Anitra,

Wonderful prose and so appropriate. Letting go of how I think things ought to be is something I have to remind myself of often.

Love the unexpected of your royal blue hair!

  7. Hi Anitra:

Love you in your vibrant electric blue hair! I'm a redhead and I always wondered what I would look like with dark hair. If I find a wig, I might be tempted to try it one and play with my image as well ;)

Your pictures in summer B are quite breathtaking. I love the purple jacaranda flowers building a fresh, yet ephemeral lavender canopies on your streets. If I ever go back to California and visit your area, I hope that you would be my tour guide and I would gladly take you out for dinner for your time.

That plaza is certainly something to visit and evokes a lot of Southwestern design. I only went to California in 2005 when I was three months' pregnant with my twin children. We even visited Napa Valley and while I enjoyed visiting several wineries, I couldn't taste anything. Luckily, I ordered a few bottles, had them shipped to Illinois and tried the wine after the twins were born.

I'm enjoying summer here in Illinois by visiting farmers markets, enjoying the temperate weather and taking my kids to places far and wide. I hope you are having a great summer with your family and working on your assignments. I can't wait to see what you have in September.

    Sincerely,
    Marie L.

    2. Hello Marie,

It's always a delight to hear from you. Glad you liked my blue hair whimsy as well as the photos in "Summer B." Your description of the jacarandas: "ephemeral lavender canopies" is so well expressed. Again, it made me think that you're ready for a blog yourself.

Thanks for sharing some of your So-Cal travels. It's interesting to know of your experience.

And yes, this is one of your favorite times of the year with your farmer's markets now abundantly available. I am sure you are both enjoying it and savoring your days.

Thank you for your good wishes Marie. May you and your precious family have a wonderful end of summer and beginning of fall,

      Sincerely, ~ Anitra
