the vexing fog, it couldn't let our sunny skies be. Just when our weather had reached perfection, it oozed in like a sinister smile, snuffed out the sun and drooled on everything.
You caught that word immediately. I've never used it before in speech or writing. I guess I've seen too much of Kendra on Dancing With the Stars. The fact is, I dislike the word. It's so overused and strikes me as cheap and easy slang. By that, I mean, using it is an easy way out, isn't it? But, on the contrary, I love your use of (nyuk, nyuk.) Now that's original!
But there it is. Maybe I'll change it; or perhaps the "drool" will make up for it. Anyhow, thought I'd jump into that odd place.
And, oh, the fog, typically lasts all June. But these days, I don't trust it. I'm sure more posts on fog will be arriving in the future and with them, more information :) Always enjoy your feedback Jonathan. My Regards, ~ Aneet
Aw,shucks Anitra, I hope you didn't change it on my account! The way you've seen too much of Kendra is the same way I've seen too much of Curly from the 3 Stooges. (Hence the nyuk nyuk)
You were the catalyst to change. And the word just might change again. Meanwhile, your message was very funny. It made me laugh, heartily, outloud. ~ Aneet
Hi Anitra-
ReplyDeleteI'd gladly welcome the fog after the very warm days we had earlier this week. It's not as tough on the allergies for me. =)
Regards,
Joseph
Aneet Hi,
ReplyDeleteWow, I never knew you had it in you to say the word "bleeping"! (nyuk nyuk) I guess we can all fill in that part.
Don't you have a continuing battle with fog out there? Looks pretty dreary. How often typically does it come and how long does it last?
Jonathan
Well, if that's the case Joseph, then, it's all worth it :) ~ Aneet
